Day at the Breach
It’s easy to keep your camera focused on the whales when you are out on the ocean, but we wanted to see how people reacted to seeing gray whales for the first time. With the help of some GoPros, a couple of home made camera rigs, and 30 volunteers, we were able to put together a little video showing how amazing it can be to see these whales up close and personal.

Whale Photography Workshop
In conjunction with the American Cetacean Society, The Spout put on a whale photography workshop at Boiler Bay State Park just north of Depoe Bay, Oregon covering both whale behavior and best camera settings for whale photography.
